Our evolution
1988
Where it all begins
In 1988, Gilles Bolduc and Constance Bousquet opened a café-bistro in a 19-story office tower in Longueuil. Gradually, they began preparing platters and buffets to serve a growing corporate clientele in the Longueuil metro area.
1992
A growing clientele
Two of the three Bolduc brothers took over to develop and structure the foundations of the catering service alongside the café-bistro.
1996
Las olas
The three brothers decided to name the new catering division Las Olas. The name Las Olas was chosen in reference to Las Olas Boulevard, an epicurean space in Fort Lauderdale. Las Olas means "The Waves" in Spanish and evokes celebration in the hearts of Quebecers.
2001
Barbecue and mechoui
From 1996 to 2001, Las Olas Traiteur developed its expertise in barbecues and roasts for large outdoor corporate events, festivals and family summer BBQs.
2002
Production unit
Las Olas established its production unit in the Longueuil industrial park. New premises dedicated to catering operations were built.
2007
Enlargement
Las Olas is expanding from 3,500 sq. ft. to 8,000 sq. ft. of production and warehousing. This complete overhaul of state-of-the-art production spaces, meeting the highest standards of hygiene and sanitation, promotes efficiency and performance.
2011
Gastronomic evenings at La Ronde
It was during the Loto-Québec International Fireworks at La Ronde, from 2011 to 2015, that Las Olas developed its signature style by serving more than 500 guests each evening at themed banquets.
2015
Foodtruck
The Las Olas team decided to build its own food truck. This large, fully equipped mobile unit allows us to serve large groups on the road, with a very festive look. Food trucks remain one of our greatest specialties.
2017
Corporate lunch
We've developed the new lunch box, poke bowl, and gourmet gift set in a custom-made, 100% compostable container that's perfect for business meetings. This box allows us to cater to foodies, vegetarians, vegans, and those with special diets or allergies.
2019
The pro-allergy shift
In keeping with the commitment to a healthy and balanced diet, Las Olas develops individual dishes that accommodate individual diets. These dishes are available as lunch boxes, banquets, and even cocktail stations.
2020
Pandemic
With the arrival of the Covid-19 pandemic, Las Olas remains open to serve customers related to essential services. We have implemented strict health standards, both at the various plant entrances and in our daily practices. The MAPAQ, the regulatory authority, certifies us as an extremely safe establishment, which meets the highest health standards in force for a food preparation establishment.
2022
Enlargement
Las Olas is expanding its premises to 16,000 sq. ft. A new assembly and logistics space is being created to increase its total daily order volume.
